Evoking Pseudo-Haptics of Resistance Force by Viewpoint Displacement

In conventional methods, pseudo-haptics is evoked by displacing a user’s hand in a virtual space. However, it is hard to apply this procedure in a mixed reality space, which is based on real space. In this study, we examined the pseudo-haptics evoked by dynamically displacing the viewpoint of a user in a video see-through environment. We simulated the proposed system in a virtual space, and conducted experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
