Abstract
Tactile feedback is crucial to improve the realism of virtual sports, which are popular applications of virtual reality (VR). However, few wearable tactile feedback devices can produce an impulse force in midair. We propose a graspable impulse force presentation de-vice by using a voice coil motor. In the evaluation experiment, the result suggests that the proposed device improves the sense of real-ism compared to a conventional VR controller with vibration.
